Friends

I met Carol and Cary on the ferry. We hit it off easily. Cary was going to Victoria on the Island for a heart operation. I learned something of Canada's medical system, as well as about the ocean, logging, fishing and all sorts of other British Columbian aspects of life (like living in a cabin with a wood fire through harsh mountain winters). They live near Vernon in the Southern Rockies - I had gone through there on my Eastern journey several weeks ago. Carol bought me a cuppa. I took their photo. We parted friends. I wish them luck.
